Ness Czech, one of the largest providers of IT servicesin the Czech Republic and part of Ness Digital Engineering, a global full-lifecycle digital services transformation company, is accelerating the establishment of an international innovation centre focused on providing data and cloud services in the CEE region. This initiative follows the recent acquisition of U.S. based Intricity, which specializes in data strategy consulting and is a significant provider of solutions for data management, modernization, and monetization.

Intricity has been a longstanding key partner of Snowflake and Databricks, which augments our relationship with AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, and Confluent. With its global reach, Ness can now offer customers strategy and execution capabilities across the top data and analytics providers in the marketplace.

“As specialists in ‘Data & Analytics’ operating not only in the Czech Republic but throughout Central and Eastern Europe, we are witnessing strong demand for cloud-based data solutions. Companies are generating more and more data, which they need to manage and leverage in their business, while keeping a close eye on the costs associated with data management,” says Martin Silvička, CEO of Ness Czech, noting that the challenging task is particularly the transformation of data solutions to the cloud and their subsequent cost-effective operation.

The innovation centre will focus not only on cloud-based data solutions but also on offering customers easy and efficient migration between different platforms. To achieve this goal, Intricity brings to Ness its unique partnership with BladeBridge, a solution which automates the conversion of legacy databases, code, and ETL processes, cutting migration time and costs. It uses pre-built templates for platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and more, ensuring clean, uniform code for easier testing and control. With expert configuration, Ness achieves up to 95% success in automated migration.

“Our international innovation centre in the Czech Republic focuses on providing and efficiently operating cloud-based data services on the MS Azure platform with Databricks integration. With the support of Intricity’s expertise, we have recently expanded our offering to include data solutions on the Snowflake platform. Additionally, customers from across the Central and Eastern European region have a unique opportunity to utilize the advanced BladeBridge migration tool for transforming their data solutions to the cloud or other platforms,” explains Michal Řehák, Director of the Data & Analytics division at Ness Czech.

“Ness has always had a strong position in data engineering, and the acquisition of Intricity strengthens our capabilities in data strategy and consulting. We have expertise in complex data project solutions, which today, are at the core of any digital transformation said Dr. Ranjit Tinaikar, CEO, Ness Digital Engineering, adding that the acquisition has deepened Ness’s offerings in using data to create new revenue streams and enhance operational efficiency.
