In this edition, Riju Siddique Abdulkhadir describes what his role as part of the Ness sales support team entails, his professional experiences and what he thinks is unique about Ness. 

Name & Title: Riju Siddique Abdulkhadir, Senior Manager – Sales Support

Ness Digital ServicesMy Role: I focus on end-to-end sales enablement at Ness, helping our teams win business by researching prospective customer needs, supporting the sales team with client meeting presentations, and management of proposal responses for clients. I work with several organizational functions such as sales, solution architects, delivery teams, marketing, finance, and HR as part of my day-to-day work. The excitement in winning new opportunities with clients keeps me on my toes and challenges me to bring out innovative ideas that highlight how we can help our customers succeed better than our competitors can do. There is no typical day in my line of work.

Career Path: I have professional experience of about 13 years in hands-on software development, project management, presales and solutions. I started my career in the technology industry as a Java developer. I’ve also worked with other leading tech companies before joining Ness. I took a break after working for seven years to complete a one year, full-time MBA program from the Indian Institute of Management Indore.

What I like about working at Ness:

I worked as a Presales Manager for a large IT services organization before joining Ness. The scope of work and the impact of my support was limited to a small vertical and visible only within the unit. The opportunity to work for an organization that had such a strong product engineering background was intriguing, as was the potential to impact organization-wide pursuits and gain visibility at the CXO level. I also got great feedback on the company through my contacts and decided to pursue my career with Ness.

Interesting facts about me:

I’m a great believer in continuous learning and validating learning through certifications. Since joining Ness, I’ve earned certifications in TOGAF (Enterprise architecture) and PMP (Project Management).
